Ambient Literature
A method of writing inspired by ambient music, where text functions as atmosphere rather than narrative. It drifts across time, expands emotion, and invites the reader to inhabit a state rather than follow a story. The writing unfolds slowly, like sustained sound, prioritizing tone, memory, and sensation over plot or explanation.
Not to be mistaken with the concept of ambient lietrature that is used by research groups to descibe situatied literary experience based on the environment of the readers.

The Absence of Other is a performance - lecture text exploring intimacy, loneliness, and desire within the architecture of dating apps. Moving between personal confession and critical reflection, it traces how connection is shaped, delayed, and often denied in a culture driven by consumption and self-optimization.
Through repetition, voice, and embodied language, the work unfolds the tension between longing and absence; where intimacy is constantly promised, yet never fulfilled.
The text was devloped during the text residency at Tekstintalo -Helsinki, 2025

Lilac is a Queer experimental prose that moves through memory like a scent that refuses to fade.
It is a meditation on desire, loss, and the politics of the body. It is about how intimacy is shaped by longing, displacement, and silence. The body remembers what language cannot hold; what remains is a residue that lingers.
Genre: Embodied memory, Queer poetics, Experimental writing, Atmospheric writing
